The battle to find a car park will be a thing of the past as a new multilevel car park opens at The Wesley Hospital.

On Wednesday 20 August 2008, Hon. Andrew Fraser MP, Treasurer & Member for Mt Coot-tha officially opened the new car park followed by a dedication ceremony by Rev. Dr David Pittman, Moderator.

Construction of the new car park commenced in June 2007 as part of the redevelopment plan of the Wesley.

The new car park is situated to the rear of the hospital and has the capacity to accomodate approximately 1140 undercover parking bays which is an increase of 470 parking bays. It is open to staff, visitors and the public and will ease traffic congestion around the campus. Other improvements include the construction of three new lifts within the car park and a third Automatic Payment Station to improve public amenity, vehicle access, egress and parking.

Construction continues on The Wesley Hospital expansion

Welcome to the new face of the 21st century healthcare - The Wesley Hospital's East Wing. Due to open next year, the $102 million nine level hospital expansion is all about meeting the evolving needs of patient care well into the future.

This means maximising patient comfort by having most beds in private rooms; supporting the very latest in hospital procedures through state-of-the-art facilities and technology; and delivering the types of day surgery and post-hospital services that the community wll most require over the coming years.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the community during this time of change and ask that you bear with us as we work towards the completion of these exciting developments.
